HOLY MEMORY – DEAR MEMORY!

           May 9 is a national holiday in our country – the Day of Remembrance and Honor, honoring every participant of the Second World War, veterans of the frontline, further strengthening the atmosphere of kindness, solidarity, humanity, tolerance and generosity in our country. It has become a tradition to raise the younger generation in the spirit of devotion to our national traditions and respect for universal values, as well as to celebrate this sacred holiday at a high level.

          Therefore, all professors, staff and students of the Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University took part in the event on the occasion of May 9 “Day of Remembrance and Honor” in the Memorial Square of Kattakurgan.

          During the event, a meeting with a number of veterans was held at the Memorial Square in Kattakurgan.

          At the meeting, the mayor of Kattakurgan G. Alimova congratulated all those present on the upcoming holiday and spoke about the fact that May 9 is widely celebrated in our country as a national holiday.

          He spoke about the difficult days, the resilience of our ancestors, the memory of the past, respect for the elderly, the value of our peace.

          Director of the Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University Sh. Urakov, First Deputy Director for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Enlightenment Affairs Sh. Mustafayev, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs S. Elmonov, Adviser to the Director responsible for ensuring the stability of the socio-spiritual environment S. Eshonkulov, Deputy Director for Financial and Economic Affairs B. Murodkobilov, deans of faculties of the branch S. Rajabov and A. Sabirovs and professors took the lead, setting an example for the students.

          By organizing such events in honor of the memory of our ancestors, our ultimate goal is to instill in the minds of students the sanctity of the memory of our heroes who fought selflessly for our well-being today.
