In connection with the “November 25 – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” announced by the United Nations General Assembly, the campaign “We are against violence” is being held in our country.
In this regard, the Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University organized a round table on “We support the protection of women from oppression and violence.”
The round table was chaired by Shomurod Mustafayev, Deputy Director for Youth Affairs and Spiritual Enlightenment.
Mayor of Kattakurgan, Senator Gavhar Alimova spoke at the event on “We support the protection of women from all forms of oppression and violence.” Shakhlo Kuchkarov, Chairperson of the Kattakurgan City Women’s Council, Advisor to the Mayor, in cooperation with partner organizations Zebo Akhatova, Senior Inspector for Women’s Affairs, Kattakurgan City Department of Internal Affairs, made a presentation on “Cases of oppression and violence against women and their protection: legal aspects” .
