Students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Language Teaching of the Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University are actively involved in the activities of the Republican ” Reading Week ”  .

Today, it is the duty of every generation to promote reading, to encourage young people to observe works of art, and thus to contribute to our spirituality and culture while preserving our centuries-old traditions.

The Kattakurgan branch of Samarkand State University hosted a literary and artistic evening on the theme “Book – the path to science” as part of “Reading Week”.

The evening, organized by the staff of the Information Resource Center, was opened by the Deputy Dean for Spiritual and Enlightenment Affairs of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Language Teaching J.Abdurahmanov.

Member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, poetess E.Shukurova, poetess R.Olloyorova, executive secretary of the newspaper “Kattakurgan tongi” H.Khushvaqtov, librarian of military unit No 02855 N.Saidova, yo. tutors and students attended.

At the event, the guests spoke about the role and importance of books in raising the morale of young people.

The guests answered the questions asked by the students. Poems written by him and written by various writers were performed by a group of creative students of the faculty.

During the week, the branch plans to hold a number of events, seminars, roundtables, trainings, including book exhibitions, tours of the library.
